Help Create the Magic of the Union Symphony Orchestra

The Union Symphony Orchestra Volunteer Council was created to coordinate the talents, time, and energy of people who care about music and the Orchestra.

Volunteers perform various functions at concerts and special events, and work behind the scenes to support the staff of the Union Symphony Orchestra. Through its committees, the Council offers many opportunities for participation in a wide range of activities and welcomes new volunteers who wish to have a long-term involvement with a community of individuals who are dedicated to the USO and the spirit of volunteerism.

Requirements to Volunteer with the USO:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoy performing the duties of greeter, ticket taker and usher, while standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be confident in assisting staff in the event of an emergency or evacuation.
  • Must be willing to volunteer for a variety of concerts and events over the course of each season.
